Terms of Service
By using Sillon, you accept the terms below. They govern your account, your content and how the service works. Read them together with our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of them.
1. The service
Sillon lets you capture voice notes, have them transcribed and sorted, and merge them into a living synthesis per subject, stored in a version-controlled markdown vault. The service relies on third-party AI models for transcription and merging.
2. Your account
Access is through “Sign in with Apple”. You are responsible for the use made from your account and for the integrations (git repository, Notion) you connect. Tell us without delay in case of unauthorised use.
3. Acceptable use
You undertake not to use Sillon for unlawful purposes, not to process through it content that infringes the rights of others, and not to attempt to disrupt, circumvent or compromise the service.
4. Your content
You remain the owner of your voice notes, transcripts and briefs. You grant us only the right to process this content in order to provide you with the service (transcribe it, sort it, merge it, store it in your vault and, if you enable it, project it to Notion). Your git vault belongs to you and remains usable outside Sillon.
5. Processing by AI models
To work, Sillon sends your voice notes and their transcripts to AI providers (see the privacy policy) for the time of the processing. Since a model's outputs are probabilistic, you remain the arbiter: every proposal can be reviewed and edited at triage before being applied, and every write is reversible.
6. Availability
The service is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may make it evolve, suspend it or modify its features.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sillon cannot be held liable for indirect damages or for loss of data. You are encouraged to keep your own backups (your git vault is one).
8. End of subscription, termination and retention
If your subscription stops — end of trial, cancellation, failed payment — your account stays open and your briefs stay readable and exportable: in the app, in your git vault, and through the AI connection. What stops is the production of new briefs (transcription then merging), because that is what has a cost with every memo. We do not close access to what you have already written.
How long we keep a vault we host. If your vault is hosted by us, we keep it 6 months after the end of your last subscription. After that period, we warn you in the app and leave 30 days before deleting it: resuming a subscription during this period puts everything back, and export remains possible until the last day. If you use your own git repository, we never delete anything there — your briefs are already with you, and only our service copy disappears.
Deletion at your initiative. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete my account. Deletion permanently erases your data as described in the privacy policy.
We may suspend an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page indicates the last revision; your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the version in force.
